Humbug! … The Scramblin’ Scrooge 1M/5K/10K & Youth Fun Run\, hosted by Feat on the Street is open for registration! Ol’ Scrooge is such a miser that\, in his honor\, we’re going to have a Scrooge costume contest along with the event\, so let’s see who can be the best worst humbug of them all … Bah! \nParticipate with Scrooge as he scrambles along\, trying against all his will to avoid the spirit of the season .. then spend the week pondering the ghosts of Christmas past\, present\, and future. Trust that the spirit of the holiday will find you and you’ll be glad to join in with the Original Dickens Carolers\, Jolly Ol’ St. Nick\, and yes\, Scrooge himself as we spread the joy of the season! \nThis event is the 2nd event of the City Park Winter Running Series. It is held on a certified course\, professionally timed\, with results posted at the event and online. It’s also the precursor to our traditional Christmas Carol Classic 5K/10K & Tiny Tim Fun Run\, which takes place at City Park exactly one week after the Scramblin’ Scrooge. If you’d like to run the Scramblin’ Scrooge and the Christmas Carol Classic\, consider selecting the Christmas Double when registering – and save on both events. \n‘Double the Dickens’ in your Christmas week and run different combinations of each awesome event and get a slight twist on each variation in the Dickens combination!

DESCRIPTION:The race will utilize the standard certified City Park 5K course but will be run in the reverse direction.  The 10K will be two loops of the 5K. \nAid stations will be located at mile 1.5 in the 5K and 1.5 and 4.5 in the 10K. They will have water only. \nBicycles\, skateboards\, and roller skates are not allowed in the race. \nThe race will be staged from the Pavilion at City Park in Denver. City Park is an urban park and neighborhood in Denver\, Colorado located at 1700 N York St\, Denver\, CO 80206. The park is 330 acres and is located in east-central Denver. The park contains the Denver Zoo\, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science\, Ferril and Duck Lakes\, and a boathouse. City Park is bordered on the south by 17th Ave\, east by Colorado Blvd\, north by 23rd Ave\, and west by York St. \nAll participants will receive the following with their entry fee. \n\nA race logo shirt\nA finishers medal\nA well-stocked finish line assortment of goodies\nA party-like atmosphere on the course and at the finish line expo\nProfessional chip timing\nFree photo downloads after the event
